For the fourth straight season, Alabama will face Clemson in the College Football Playoff, and for the fourth straight season, Alabama is the betting favorite.

But can the undefeated Tigers (14-0) upset the Tide (14-0) for the second time in three years?

Vince Young says yes.

“I believe so,” the Texas national champion and Pro Bowl quarterback said on The DA Show. “Being an underdog, you don’t have nothing to lose. You just go out there and play your game. I’m pretty sure coach (Dabo Swinney) and the rest of the guys are saying that to them. You got to give respect to Alabama and Coach Saban. They are the elite team right now, and they’re doing it each and every year. You can’t feed into the media. You just got to go up there and just play your game. They have a lot of tremendous players on the team.”

That includes quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who has completed 65.0 percent of his passes for 2,606 yards, 24 touchdowns and four interceptions this season. The true freshman was masterful in the Cotton Bowl against Notre Dame, finishing 27-of-39 for 327 yards and three touchdowns in a 30-3 win.

Alabama, however, figures to provide a stiffer test than the Irish.

“I know it’s going to be a tough game for Trevor Lawrence because he hasn’t been in a type of situation like this,” Young said, “but if he just relies on his teammates and relies on his coaching staff and kind of feeds off the fans, I really feel like he’ll be OK. He is an elite quarterback, and we’re going to be saying his name for a while. This situation is going to be pretty good for him, so I hope he just cherishes that whole moment.”
