One year after losing to a 16 – as the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament – Tony Bennett hopes to lead Virginia to its first Final Four since 1984.

Well, Fox Sports college basketball analyst Vin Parise believes he’ll get there. In fact, he has Virginia winning the tournament.

“I’ve got an ACC championship game on Monday night,” Parise said on Taz & The Moose. “I think a lot of people are going to have that, but a lot of people are probably going to get into the Duke/UNC rivalry. My ACC-final championship game is going to be Duke versus Virginia – and this is the year that Tony Bennett finally gets through.”

Virginia (29-3), which is closing in on its fourth 30-win season in the last six years, went 0-2 against Duke (29-5) this season and 29-1 against everyone else. The Cavaliers lost at Duke by a deuce in January and then at home against the Blue Devils by 10 in February.

Parise believes the third time will be a charm for Bennett’s motivated squad.

“All the talk is going to be about UMBC last year,” Parise said. “I thought the way he handled it, he’s just a great guy. The way they handled that moving forward, I think this is the year the Cavaliers get by. I think this is the Cavs’ year.”
