Who knew the skills of an MLB All-Star could be transferable to beer pong?

Well, that appears to be the case for New York Mets third baseman Todd Frazier, who boasted of his beer-pong accuracy to Damon Amendolara on CBS Sports Radio on Tuesday.

Frazier’s older brothers would often let him take “celebrity shots” – when someone not playing in the game takes a shot for someone else – and the practice has apparently paid off.

“Without a doubt,” Frazier said on The DA Show, when asked about being good at beer pong. “You can ask a couple of the Mets guys, too. I’m really good. For me, I have to thank my brothers on that. I guess at a young age, they would let me take some celebrity shots every once in a while.”

Frazier and his teammates played a little beer pong during spring training. Frazier enjoyed it. His teammates? Perhaps not as much.

“We did a little bit in spring training,” Frazier said. “One of the guys threw a party just to hang out, and I said, ‘Let’s do it.’ And you know, to the victor goes the spoils. I’m just telling you right now that I was fine after that night, but a couple of the guys weren’t feeling too good.”

When talking about his beer pong playing habits, Frazier said that he loves trash talking to gain a mental advantage over his opponent.

“Nothing is off limits,” Frazier said. “I’m a talker, so I’ll get into your head a little bit. I'll do the arms back and forth. I’m trying to mess with you the whole time.”
