The Texans had a great season last year. They won 11 games – their most since 2012 – and made the playoffs for the third time in four seasons. But they lost at home to the Colts, 21-7, in the Wild Card round.

They haven’t forgotten about it, either.

“I remember every loss,” Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson told Bill Reiter. “I (didn’t lose) too much (before) I got to the NFL, so it’s definitely new for me. But each loss is definitely something that you can learn from – even the wins. But the losses hurt a little bit more. You remember those, especially that last one against an in-division rival who came into our stadium in the postseason and took what we wanted. You got to keep that in the back of your head, but obviously you can’t dwell on it. You just pick it up, learn from it, take it into next season and try to get better from it.”
