The Tyreek Hill saga took a dark and twisted turn Thursday, as audio was leaked of Hill and his fiancee, Crystal Espinal, discussing the alleged abuse of their 3-year-old son, as well as the ensuing investigation.

In the audio, Hill denies breaking his son’s arm but doesn’t deny some of Espinal’s other abuse claims. He also tells Espinal that she should be “terrified” of him.

“I don’t think that’s strong enough to get rid of him, that audio of him saying that,” Scott Ferrall said, referring to the “terrified” comment. “It’s bad. It’s scary. But I don’t think it’s enough to get rid of him. What is enough to get rid of him is the rest of it.”

In the audio, Espinal accuses Hill of breaking their son’s arm and questions why the child says “Daddy did it.” Hill also allegedly punches his son in the chest and beats him with a belt.

The Chiefs have since barred Hill from team activities.

“They’re going to get rid of him,” Ferrall said. “He’s done. He’s finished. I would think they’re going to have him out of there by the end of the week. They already got rid of (Kareem) Hunt because he kicked and punched the girl and shoved her to the ground. They got rid of him. Now they’re going to get rid of this guy.”

From a football standpoint, the Chiefs would be hard-pressed to replace Hill’s production.

“You can’t tell me that’s not damaging that football team,” Ferrall said of losing Hunt and potentially Hill. “That’s as bad as losing Bell and Brown.”

But with Hill’s checkered past, Ferrall doesn’t think Hill will – or should – remain a Chief.

“He’s doomed,” Ferrall said. “He’s doomed.”
