Quick, name the best division in the NFL. If you didn’t name the NFC South, well, you might be wrong.

The Saints (7-1) have won seven in a row, including a 45-35 win over the previously unbeaten Rams this past Sunday, and the Panthers (6-2) and Falcons (4-4) have each won three in a row. The Bucs, meanwhile, are 3-5, but they did beat the Saints in Week 1 and have been competitive in most of their losses, dropping three games by five points or fewer.

Just how good is this division?

“It’s really good,” Saints linebacker Alex Anzalone said on Reiter Than You. “I think it starts at the quarterback position. You have Drew, you have Matt Ryan, you have Cam Newton – Tampa is still working itself out, but Fitzpatrick put up good numbers against us. But it starts with that and you look at all the playmakers around the NFC South, all of them are Pro Bowl guys.”

Michael Thomas, Alvin Kamara, Julio Jones, Mike Evans, Devonta Freeman – the list goes on.

“It’s a good thing and a bad thing because you know you’re going up against the best, but at the same time, you never have an easy game,” Anzalone said. “But you wouldn’t want to have it any other way in the NFL. You want to compete against the best and win against the best.”

The Saints play the Bengals (5-3) in Cincinnati this Sunday. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. ET.
