Aaron Rodgers had his best game of the season Sunday, finishing with a perfect 158.3 passer rating in a 42-24 win over the Raiders. Rodgers had as many touchdowns (six) as incompletions, finishing 25-of-31 for 429 yards and six touchdowns (five pass, one rush).

What the heck happened at Lambeau Field yesterday?

“It’s pretty easy when your quarterback throws for a perfect passer rating,” Packers wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling said on Tiki & Tierney. “We were just executing really well. We had a great week of preparation, even though we had a short week. We played our football. We weren’t really concerned about what they were doing. It was more so, ‘How can we be a better offense?’ That was our whole goal.”

Since losing to the Eagles in Week 4, the Packers (6-1) have won three straight, during which they are averaging 33.0 points per game. Overall, the Packers rank tenth in the league in scoring offense (26.3 points per game), eighth in passing yards per game (274.1) and 21st in rushing yards per game (99.3).

Valdes-Scantling was asked about the reported preseason friction between Rodgers and Matt LaFleur. Was that news or noise?

“That’s just noise,” said Valdes-Scantling, who has 21 catches for a team-high 416 yards this season. “Obviously when you get a new coaching staff and new players and a Hall-of-Fame quarterback, it’s definitely different getting everybody on the same page. But they did a good job this spring in terms of figuring out each other and figuring out how to call plays. Ever since then, we’ve been rolling.”

The Packers face the Chiefs (5-2) in Kansas City this Sunday at 8:20 p.m. ET. Rodgers will have his offense, and his team, ready to play.

“He’s been accepting the challenge, learning the new staff and learning different things like that, but he’s great,” Valdes-Scantling said. “He’s a Hall-of-Fame quarterback. You can’t really ask for anything better than that. He’s just rolling.”
