The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will wear new uniforms this season, but there’s definitely an old-school feel to them. Not creamsicle old-school, but old-school nonetheless.
Still, the creamsicle uniforms were a cool look, no?
“Here’s what it is: those uniforms are fine, but I think that we romanticize the past about them too much,” NFL Network fantasy guru Adam Rank said on The DA Show. “Like if you ever run into one of your college buddies and he’s like, ‘We should do Jager Bombs,’ you’re like, ‘Yeah, that would be amazing.’ You can do it once, but you don’t want to do it every day, and you don’t want to do it every week.”
That’s exactly how Rank feels about Tampa Bay’s creamsicle uniforms.
“I don’t need to reminisce that way too much,” he said. “So it’s a nice little thing. It’s great to see, [but] I don’t need to see [it] again. I wish they had that rule where you could have different helmets. I think that’s what’s preventing them from being able to break those out. But that would be cool. I would like to see the creamsicles once – and that’s all I need. Then go back. You’ve got cool uniforms now, and then I think you can move on from that.”
