All eyes are going to be on the Kansas City Chiefs this season, not just in the AFC but also in the entire NFL.

The Chiefs are heavily favored and expected to be one of the teams to compete for the Vince Lombardi Trophy in February. With reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes at the helm, a dynamic offense and numerous notable additions, Kansas City aims to avenge last season's loss to the Patriots in the AFC Championship game. CBS Sports' Jim Nantz joined The DA Show on Thursday to discuss a variety of topics, including expactations for the Chiefs.

"I'm seeing more people pick Kansas City in the AFC Championship game over New England," Nantz said. "First off, that would be a fantastic rematch if that unfolds. But I think Kansas City, I'm anxious to see what this year looks like for them. I happen to think they're going to be great again."

One of Kansas City's additions was running back LeSean McCoy, who spent the last four seasons with the Buffalo Bills. McCoy signed a one-year deal, worth $4 million after being bought out by the Bills on Aug. 31. The move reunites McCoy with former coach Andy Reid. The pair spent four seasons together in Philadelphia, where McCoy set a career-high with 17 rushing touchdowns in a season.

Nantz says signing McCoy could become one that benefits Kansas City greatly this season.

"LeSean McCoy, I think that's going to be one of the great pick-ups of the offseason," McCoy said. "To see him cut one day and just a couple of hours later to be reunited with Coach Reid and that backfield now with Damien Williams and Darwin Thompson, this rookie everybody's been talking about in fantasy football. They got the speed. They drafted this kid [Mecole> Hardman, the wide receiver in the second round. I think they're going to be just outstanding again.
