Gadget guru Katie Linendoll shared a stunner during an in-studio appearance on CBS Sports Radio on Friday, telling Damon Amendolara, host of The DA Show, that she was casting runner-up to Adam Richman for the hit show Man v. Food.

Linendoll dropped this truth-bomb after DA invited her back to the show in a few weeks for the annual Weinership Hot Dog Challenge with Badlands Booker.

“There is nothing I enjoy more on the Fourth of July, American patriot that I am, than a good hot dog eating contest with Joey Chestnut and Kobayashi,” an energetic Linendoll said. “This is right up my alley. I almost would take you up on that eating contest.”

DA thought Linendoll was kidding.

She wasn't.

“Do you remember the show Man v. Food?” Linendoll asked. “I was the runner-up in casting for that. I can pound some serious food. I have to say thank the good Lord that they made that casting call because I don’t know what situation I’d be in right now.”

Linendoll is 5-1 and weighs less than 100 pounds.

“Listen, I grew up in an Italian family,” she said. “We run it off. I can pound some serious food. It would have been WO-MAN v. Food.”

Linendoll had to perform an eating challenge during casting – and she killed it. She devoured a giant corned beef sandwich, fries, and a beverage at the iconic Katz’s Deli in New York.

“I had people around me watching me, so I had an audience,” Linendoll recalled. “I was like, ‘Done, where is the dessert?’ I will work it off and I still can rock a four-pack. I don’t know if I have enough real estate these days – that’s my excuse – for the six. But I can put some food down.”

DA and crew? Stunned.

“It was a good casting call,” Linendoll said. “For my heart and my liver.”
