The Minnesota Timberwolves have missed the playoffs in 14 of the last 15 seasons, but they’re in the midst of their best two-year stretch in more than a decade. The Timberwolves have won 83 games over the last two seasons – their most since 2003-05 (102).

“We’re doing a great job of building a culture that’s world-class,” Karl-Anthony Towns told Bill Reiter. “Ryan Saunders is an amazing coach, an amazing person. (CEO Ethan) Casson is one of one in the world. We got the best of both worlds. When you’ve got a front office that’s as well-built as ours and have a coaching staff as well-built as ours, the sky’s the limit for us.”

Towns, the No. 1 pick in 2015, averaged 24.4 points, 12.4 rebounds and 1.6 blocks this past season. He is looking forward to playing with Jarrett Culver, who was the sixth pick in the NBA Draft.

“He’s a great player, he’s very talented – the sky’s the limit for him,” Towns said. “It’s our duty as the vets to really make sure that we get him to the next level and we show him what it is to be a professional basketball player in the NBA.”
