Some people love Twitter, and some people don’t. But there’s no denying it has an incredible impact on society.

Just ask Twitter’s Head of U.S. Sports Partnerships TJ Adeshola, who teaches people in and around the sports world how to use Twitter in thoughtful ways to make and raise money.

“There are certain moments that really make me sit back and be proud,” Adeshola said on After Hours with Amy Lawrence. “I think abut J.J. Watt when he really leveraged the platform to raise tons of money for the city of Houston. Twitter was front and center in that conversation.”

Adeshola has seen other athletes use Twitter for good.

“Last year, Andy Dalton threw a touchdown pass, which got the Bills into the playoffs, and Bills fans started donating money to Andy Dalton’s charity when he tweeted it out,” Adeshola said. “These moments that you can’t really predict will occur but occur in real time are pretty special. That’s when we have the most fun.”
