Prior to Week 5, Will Fuller had been relatively quiet this season. He had 14 catches for 183 yards through his first four games of the season.

Well, he more than doubled that production in a 53-32 win over the Falcons this past Sunday, totaling 14 catches for 217 yards and three touchdowns.

Where did that outburst come from?

“He got off to a slow start, and some people think it’s because the Texans traded for Kenny Stills and Kenny stills was kind of taking his receptions – and then as soon as Kenny Stills is out last Sunday, Will Fuller blows up,” Houston’s 610 host Landry Locker said on Ferrall on the Bench. “So it kind of goes back to Bill O’Brien being able to use all of his weapons at the same time and not overthinking stuff. But 14 receptions, he tied Andre Johnson’s record. I haven’t seen him go off like that, but it was kind of a surprise that Will Fuller was as pedestrian as he was the first four games before that one.”

The Texans (3-2) play the Chiefs (4-1) in Kansas City this Sunday. Locker was surprised to see that the Chiefs are only favored by 4.5 points, especially with Tyreek Hill slated to return.

“I’ve seen this Texans defense. I feel like they’ve topped out,” Locker said. “They really didn’t play very good against the Falcons. I think that the Chiefs should be able to get it done, but for some reason Vegas thinks it’s going to be a close game. This Texans offense is very good. I don’t think they’re going to get it done, but the people in Vegas seem to think it’s going to be a little bit closer than I thought it would.”
