If Drake wants to get into it with an NBA player, Randy Foye is happy to oblige

During Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, Cavs reserve Kendrick Perkins exchanged words with Drake one two occasions – once at halftime and again at the end of the game. Drake, a Toronto native, often sits court-side at the Air Canada Centre and has become the Raptors’ most recognizable fan. He also has no problem yapping with the opposition.

How should players react to this?

“I would do the same thing Perk did,” 11-year NBA veteran Randy Foye said on Taz & The Moose. “I would definitely test him.”

By “test him,” Foye means get in Drake’s face and see how he responds.

“You want to act like you’re tough?” Foye asked. “All right. I will approach him – because he’s close enough that you could approach him and say something to him. I just would approach him and say something to him. I won’t put my hands on him or anything like that, but I would approach him and test him and just see exactly what he’s going to do. When I say whatever I have to say, I’m going to look him in his eyes to see how he reacts. If he reacts a certain way, you’re going to know right away that he’s not with it.”

Taz, for one, can’t stand Drake. If Taz were an NBA player, he would “snap” on the rapper, as he cannot stand guys who try to act tough when they aren’t.

“Exactly,” Foye said. “He was holding (Jose) Calderon there just in case (so) he could push Calderon in front of him.”
