Before the World Series began, FOX Sports and MLB Network Radio analyst C.J. Nitkowski predicted the Red Sox would beat the Dodgers in six games.

But he didn’t feel great about it.

“I didn’t necessarily say it with a lot of confidence,” Nitkowski said on Tiki and Tierney. “I think based on these starting pitchers – there’s some good names out there. I know some people are complaining about where we are with bullpenning, but there were still some really good names going head-to-head, and it was a matter of who was going to break? Who wasn’t going to show up? There was enough question marks – and there still are – going forward, even though the Red Sox have a healthy lead.”

The Red Sox won Game 1, 8-4, and took Game 2, 4-2. Game 3 is Friday in Los Angeles at 8:09 p.m. ET.

“For me, I really felt like (this series) could have gone either way,” Nitkowski said. “It can still go either way. These teams are pretty evenly matched.”
