The Kansas City Chiefs have scored 30+ points in six of seven games this season. In fact, they averaged 38.8 points in those six games.

The one game they failed to reach 30? That was Week 4, when the Broncos held the Chiefs to 27 in a losing effort. Denver led 23-13 midway through the fourth quarter, but Patrick Mahomes engineered two late scoring drives.

Ball game.

“This man destroyed us outside the pocket,” Broncos defensive back Chris Harris Jr. said on Tiki and Tierney. “You never see a quarterback throw for 200-and-some yards outside the pocket, and that’s what he did. So hopefully we’ll see if we can (do better) and try to keep him caged in.”

Mahomes finished the game 28-of-45 for 304 yards and two touchdowns (one pass, one rush).

The Broncos (3-4) will get a second crack at Mahomes and the Chiefs (6-1) this Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium at 1 p.m. ET.

Harris believes the Broncos can get the W.

“We know how to play ball against those boys,” he said. “I challenge Tyreek (Hill), I challenge all of those receivers – I get up there and play bump and run versus those boys. That’s what we do. It’s a division game, and we don’t have any fear.”
