The Cincinnati Bengals haven't made the playoffs in either of the last two seasons, but Tyler Dunne thinks they’re primed for success in 2018. In fact, he thinks they could reach the Super Bowl.

“I just think they have a ton of talent that we’ve seen for spurts (in) seasons past,” the Bleacher Report NFL features writer said on After Hours with Amy Lawrence. “(The) 2015 (season) comes to mind. That’s the season that they bring up. Andy Dalton, Tyler Eifert, A.J. Green – they feel they’ve got that kind of talent in the room that started 8-0 that year.”

The Bengals finished 12-4 that season – and lost in the Wild Card for the fifth consecutive season. Since then, they’ve gone 6-9-1 and 7-9, finishing third in the AFC North both times.

Dunne expects more wins this season.

“Let’s face it: Pittsburgh’s defense really isn’t scaring anybody, Cleveland is Cleveland, and Baltimore is kind of Baltimore. They’ve been a .500 team since they won the Super Bowl,” he said. “So it’s there for the taking. And really in the AFC in general, I don’t know outside of New England if there really is a top contender. Cincinnati could be that team that maybe surprises, wins that division and at least threatens New England at some point down the road.”

The Bengals play three of their first four games on the road, including a Week 1 game against the Colts in Indy. Sunday’s kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. ET.
